Gurgaon: An 18-year-old student, who was abducted last weekend, was on Thursday found murdered in Gurgaon, police said, adding she might have been sexually assaulted before being killed.

The girl, a class 12 student and belonging to a Dalit family from Jatauli village near Heli Mandi, went missing under mysterious circumstances on Saturday. Her body was found in a mustard field.

Her father had lodged a case of kidnapping at Pataudi police station on Sunday against Dharam Singh, a resident of the same village. The accused has been absconding.

An official of the Pataudi police station said that the girl’s body has injuries around throat and she might have been sexually assaulted before murder.

“We can’t deny possibilities of even gang-rape,” he said.

A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was called on the spot to collect evidence.

The police officer said it was only the post-mortem report that could say when the victim was killed but prima facie it looks that she was murdered three to fours days back, the officer said.
