Two persons were killed on Wednesday and 27 others injured, including 12 of them seriously, when the bus in which they were travelling hit a truck and overturned on National Highway-7 near Seoni.A bus carrying passengers from Jharia village to Lakhnadaun in the district hit a truck and overturned, leaving Sanjay Yadav (22) and Sonu Kahar (40) – both local residents – dead on the spot and injuring 27 others at NH-7, some 65 kms from district headquarters, Lakhnadaun police station inspector Shivraj Singh said.<!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>He said the seriously injured have been rushed to the divisional headquarters, Jabalpur, for treatment adding that 15 others were being treated at a local hospital. Singh said initial investigations suggest that the bus driver, in a bid to save a motorcyclist, lost control over his vehicle and hit a truck and overturned.He said the driver of the rashly driven truck along with the conductor fled the spot. Police have registered a case and an investigation is on, the inspector added.
