The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Monday issued a circular stating that it had made no official announcement about the class 10 results, and encouraged the students to stay patient, urging them to not believe in rumors, reported the Times Of India.

The report also quoted the Pune State Board secretary Krishnakumar Patil as saying, “the dates, once decided, will be sent through the official email and will be displayed on the website”.

In the absence of an official date, social media websites seem to have affixed 1 June as the tentative date of results, according to an Indian Express report.

Gangadhar Mahamane, Chairman of Maharashtra State Board, said that the results are expected to be declared a few days before the last year’s date, which was 8 June.

Earlier, media reports had said that the SSC class 10 results were to be declared by the Maharashtra Board on 31 May 2016. Now, the results are expected to be announced in the first or second week of June, says a ZeeNews report.
