AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa was addressing a rally in Villupuram when she slammed the DMK for their alleged scams and nepotism.A report in The New Indian Express states that she told the people not to vote for DMK-Congress combine as they were involved in large scams like the coal scam, 2G spectrum sale scam and Adarsh Housing Society scam. She added that they did not spare the sports arena either and there was the Commonwealth Games scam too. <!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>She asked the people to vote her back into power so that she could continue the economic development of Tamil Nadu and improve the lives of the poor. Jayalalithaa also listed out all her achievements, including her populist schemes like the Amma Unavagams, Amma Salt, Amma cement and Amma seeds and so on. Jayalalithaa also spoke about the fact that Tamil Nadu, which at one time faced severe power cuts, now had none. She alleged that the DMK was creating a false campaign against her through their family-owned TV channels. She also asked the people to reject dynastic politics.Jaya spoke about how she had fulfilled all her 2011 election promises. With regard to Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai, she listed out the development work she had executed, including the bird sanctuary in the Ousteri lake in Villupuram, work on a railway overbridge that has been taken up at Tiruvannamalai and Polur, expansion of national highways, extension of girivala pathai of Tiruvannamalai Arunachaleshwar temple among other things.
