External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj took a high-level meeting on Thursday in view of the incident, which was attended by the Foreign Secretary.Swaraj has sought detailed report from Commissioner of City, Bengaluru on the incident. The Home Ministry has also sought a report from the Karnataka Government over the incident. It has also sought details of steps taken for the protection of the victim.Meanwhile, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju has termed the alleged assault of a Tanzanian woman as a matter of shame saying the country will not tolerate any racial discrimination. The 21-year-old Tanzanian student was allegedly beaten up and stripped by a mob.
